BlackStone Discovery, the premier legal technology and consulting provider, begins 2019 by announcing the promotion of two key leaders and the addition of a forensic analyst to its growing team. These moves come as BlackStone Discovery continues its growth trajectory and expanding global presence.
Thomas Gersey named VP of Operations and General Counsel.
Gersey joined BlackStone Discovery in 2015. In his former role as Director of Client Solutions, he oversaw the management of countless high-profile discovery projects. Gersey’s stature as an experienced attorney has been key to the execution of effective strategies for frequent complex litigations supported by BlackStone’s team. Under Thomas’s leadership, the Client Solutions group adopted a mission of partnering with clients to ensure that eDiscovery was approached strategically and with optimal litigation outcomes in mind. As VP of Operations & General Counsel, Gersey will continue to guide litigation strategy for clients while also scaling out the highly-praised workflows and practices that have led to numerous case victories.
Jamal Speller named Director of Client Solutions.
Speller, who joined BlackStone Discovery in 2018 as a Sr. Project Manager, will now manage BlackStone’s Client Solutions team. His extensive experience in the industry, with management positions at HP, Navigant, and PwC, has been a valuable asset to clients and has been noticably impactful in less than a year with the company. Jamal’s deep understanding of technology and how it relates to broader litigation and investigative strategy make him an invaluable advisor to BlackStone’s clients.
