Salt Lake City Review Team Looks to Build Upon Silicon Valley Center’s Success
Salt Lake City, Utah – September 28, 2017
BlackStone Discovery, Silicon Valley’s leading eDiscovery provider, is continuing its expansion and strengthening its Managed Review offering by opening a new review center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The opening of the SLC Office coincides with BlackStone’s expansion of its Managed Review consulting team, which features over 100 highly qualified attorneys. “We only hire experienced attorneys with extensive years of legal practice and advanced degrees,” said John Munro, BlackStone’s VP of National Markets. With access to one of the country’s strongest legal communities, boasting two of the nation’s top 50 law schools, BlackStone is building a dynamic team of litigators with backgrounds in pharmacy, engineering, biology, and chemistry, among other areas.
The nation’s top law firms and corporations have come to realize the value of efficient, well-managed review, and the corresponding increase in demand has necessitated this latest expansion. The new review center is part of a concerted effort to create leaner, more knowledgeable and experienced review teams, and pair them with advanced technological solutions to provide cost-effective, insightful, and defensible results. BlackStone President Derek Duarte summarized the vision, saying, “We want to make sure we provide the best value to our clients by optimizing our reviewers’ efforts with the best tech solutions available, all instead of simply throwing bodies at every case.”
Predictive Coding and BrainSpace Analytics are central to BlackStone’s optimized review workflow, while customized coding panels help to optimize review speed, accuracy, and automated privilege log creation. Reviewers also enjoy the luxury of LineOut, the fastest redaction tool on the market created by BlackStone, as well as in-house near-duping and email threading tools.
“We have shown what the BlackStone method can do in the center of the competitive Silicon Valley market,” said Duarte, “and now we are ready to expand our reach and bring that success to the rest of the country.”
